Let me start by saying I’m not the kind of girl to purchase, or even wear multiple perfumes. Before my recent purchase I’d been wearing the same scent (Coco Mademoiselle) for over 8 years (hella commited, I know). I’d been feeling like it was time to explore new options, I just couldn’t find a fragrance I could live in.
The kind of scent that brings back fond memories.
The kind of scent that goes on light, and leaves a fresh lasting impression.
The kind of scent that smells so good you want to eat yourself.
Ok, so, funny story.
When I first came upon this fragrance I was broke. I’ll admit I used my daughter’s cuteness to swoon the sales lady and get free samples. Shame on me you say? Well, it worked. I ended up leaving that joint with like 7 free samples which bought me more than enough time to return and cop the full size.
Moral of the anecdote?
Use all you’re resources.
Sometimes you need to up your fragrance ante, sometimes what you’re used to works just fine. Finding a new signature scent can me a bit of a challenge. Here are a few signs it might be time for a switch up;
1./ You’ve been wearing the scent for 8 years 2./ You’re friend’s teenage daughter tells you your current scent smells like ‘old people’. 3/ You’re perfume bottle looks antiquated. Not the cool kind. Old of the lacklustre variety 4./ You wake up and decide you stink.
Now that thats ironed out, here’s a better description of the what to expect provided by Sephora.com;
